The Executive Chairman of Andoni LGA, Hon. Prince Lucky Promise Otuo, has so far shown admirable leadership — driving development, supporting communities, and inspiring confidence. However, as progress continues, there is a growing need to channel similar energy toward entertainment and youth empowerment. Nurturing creative talent can open new jobs, reduce crime, and build a stronger identity for Andoni.

For years, many young entertainers have struggled without platforms or sponsors. They create from passion, using personal funds to record songs, shoot videos, and promote their art. The appointment of a youth liaison who understands their challenges and bridges the gap between government and creativity could make all the difference.

Entertainment is not merely a source of fun — it’s a powerful economic tool. It shapes culture, connects communities, and can project Andoni’s positive image to the world.

According to Ellis Maxwell popularly know as (Whyzmx), an emerging musician from Andoni:

“Most of us have been in this industry for over ten years. We have the talent, but there’s no platform or sponsor. Most of us record songs with our pocket money.”

In a chat with Okpojo Ndendeng Uriah, popularly known as MC Bazlytle, an entertainer from Ibotirem Town, he shared the struggles he faces as a young creative in Andoni.

 “In his words.What I face as an entertainer in Andoni is lack of coordination, lack of help, and no real support for individuals like us,” he said.

“I have never received any help or support from the government or even private individuals since I started my career. What I really need is support for my education — I want to upgrade my certificate as an entertainer to build my career and raise the name of Obolo higher. But if that can’t be possible, at least giving me a good camera and studio equipment will help me move forward.”

His story mirrors the experiences of many young Andoni talents who keep pushing despite limited resources. They continue to create, not because it’s easy — but because passion keeps their dreams alive.
