“Hope Flows in Inyoungchicha: Andoni Council Fulfills Promise on Community Water Project”
Hon. Prince Lucky Promise Otuo’s Leadership Breathes New Life into Inyoungchicha — A Testament to Responsive Governance and Media Advocacy
November 3, 2025 — Andoni, Rivers State.
Just days after cries from the people of Inyoungchicha Community echoed online, the Andoni Local Government Council has taken a decisive step toward providing clean water for its residents.
It will be recalled that on October 25, 2025, Bigchiefvibes Media reported the heartfelt plea of the Inyoungchicha people, who had long suffered from the effects of unsafe drinking water. The report drew the attention of the Andoni LGA Council, led by the Executive Chairman, Hon. Prince Lucky Promise Otuo, who assured that immediate action would be taken.
Today, that promise began to take shape. The Council dispatched a team of engineers to Inyoungchicha for the drilling of a borehole, marking the first phase of the community’s long-awaited water project. Work is currently ongoing, signaling a new era of hope and progress for the people.
During a visit to the site, Bigchiefvibes Media spoke with community youth member Mr. Joshua Renner, who expressed deep gratitude for what he described as “a historic moment” for Inyoungchicha.
> “We thank God first for making this possible. This is the first government project our community has ever experienced. We also appreciate our Local Government Chairman, Hon. Prince Lucky Promise Otuo, for listening to the cries of our people and responding with action,” Renner said.
He further commended Hon. Mrs. Awile, a Council Representative, for her vital role in ensuring that the concerns of the Inyoungchicha people reached the Chairman directly.
> “Mrs. Awile didn’t just relay our story after seeing it on social media. She stood by us, followed up, and made sure the promise made was fulfilled. We are grateful for her commitment and grace,” Renner added.
Renner also extended appreciation to Bigchiefvibes Media, acknowledging the platform’s impact in amplifying the voices of local communities.
> “We thank Bigchiefvibes Media for not only covering national and international stories but also giving priority to grassroots reports like ours. Without your coverage, our cry might have gone unheard. This is proof that local media matters,” he concluded.
As work continues on-site, the Inyoungchicha Water Project stands as a reminder that media advocacy and responsive leadership can work hand-in-hand to change lives.
