Hon. Dr. Gogo-Ogute Friday Isaiah Promises to Sponsor a Student at NUAS Kenpoly Matriculation Ceremony
Hon. Dr. Gogo-Ogute Friday Isaiah, the former Caretaker Chairman of Andoni LGA, served as the Chairman of the Occasion at the Matriculation/Freshers’ Day Ceremony (2025/2026 Academic Session) of the National Union of Andoni Students (NUAS), Kenpoly Chapter, held at Kenule Beeson Saro-Wiwa Polytechnic, Bori.
Speaking at the event, he charged the students to take their studies seriously, emphasizing that Andoni students are known for excellence and not failure. He noted that across higher institutions in Rivers State, Andoni students stand out among the best graduating students. He encouraged the freshers to maintain that standard and strive to graduate with outstanding results.
He further advised both new and returning students to abstain from cultism and other social vices while in school.
In a show of support, Hon. Gogo-Ogute Friday Isaiah made a generous financial contribution and also pledged to sponsor a student through to the completion of his or her education.
Parents were also present at the event in large numbers to support and celebrate their children, adding to the significance of the occasion.
Also speaking at the event, CA. Dr. Philip Festus Ukata encouraged the students to build strong relationships and remain focused, urging them to reunite in the next four to five years in celebration of their academic success.
The CEO of Bigchiefvibes Media, Comr. Geoffrey Ekpu Ekpu, carried out the first phase of his Educational Support Project by distributing notebooks to students, aimed at supporting and encouraging their academic growth.
The President of the Andoni Progress Congress, Bori, also supported the students with cash donations on behalf of the union and personally.
During the event, an Award of Honour was presented to Hon. Dr. Gogo-Ogute Friday Isaiah in recognition of his dedication, support, and outstanding service to Andoni students.
Another Award of Honour was presented to Comr. Geoffrey Ekpu Ekpu, Founder/CEO of Bigchiefvibes Media, for his unwavering dedication, consistent support, and contributions to the growth, unity, and progress of Andoni students.
Other dignitaries present included the Egbomung Youth President and several notable personalities.
The event, filled with celebration and appreciation, was hosted under the leadership of the NUAS President, Sen. Emmanuel Ugbana Esuku, and the LED EXCOS 2025/2026 Academic Session, and concluded with goodwill messages from stakeholders.
