The Regent of Unyeada Kingdom, Chief (Elder) Eugene Lambert Elleh, JP, has reassured the people of Unyeada Kingdom, the people of Andoni, and the general public that the burial of Late His Eminence King (Dr.) Israel Uzamaden Otuo (IX) JP will proceed as scheduled on April 17 and 18, 2026, despite rumours suggesting otherwise.

He made this clarification during the Service of Songs and Night of Tributes held in honour of the late king in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

Speaking at the event, the Regent expressed happiness over the large turnout, noting that he did not expect such a crowd due to the rumours surrounding the burial. He commended attendees for their support and presence.

He further emphasized that the burial plans remain unchanged and urged the public to disregard any false information being circulated.


Other dignitaries present at the event included Hon. Ofiks Kagbang, Hon. Erastus Charles Awortu, Hon. Gogote Ntegwuile, as well as other chiefs and notable personalities.
