Breaking: “Feroh Marley (Festus Warisofini) Hints at Major Upcoming Project Spotlighting Obolo Culture on the Global Stage”

“On Monday, April 27th, 2026, Bigchiefvibes Media held an online interview with Feroh Marley, the fast-rising voice behind the AFRO-OBOLO movement — a bold vision aimed at projecting Obolo culture, tradition, and identity to the global stage.”

Speaking on his journey, the artist, whose real name is Jacob Festus Warisofini, popularly known as Feroh Marley and Achala 1 of Ijong Ukwa, shared his roots and inspiration. He hails from Ukwa Community in Andoni LGA, while also representing Ebonedek-Ile Okorolo Community, where he was raised. According to him, his passion for music started at a young age, influenced by the natural rhythm of the creeks.

He officially began his professional journey in 2019, but described the period between 2024 and 2026 as a turning point in his career. In his words, “the preparation is over, the breakthrough isn’t just coming, it’s already here.”

On the AFRO-OBOLO movement, Feroh Marley explained that it is a sub-genre of Afrobeats, uniquely carved by him, but beyond music, it represents a cultural and artistic movement. He noted that AFRO-OBOLO is designed to project the identity, language, and traditions of the Obolo people from the Andoni region to a global audience. According to him, it serves as a powerful vehicle for storytelling and regional pride.

He further revealed that his inspiration stems from a deep desire to showcase the richness of Obolo culture to the world. He emphasized that the culture is too vibrant to remain hidden and deserves global recognition. For him, the movement represents “heritage taking flight,” as he aims to break boundaries through sound and language.

Speaking about his upcoming project, “The AURACLE,” the artist described it as more than just music, but a major shift. He hinted at a deeper, more immersive experience where music becomes a bridge between realities, carrying raw truth and powerful expression. He assured fans that the project is evolving and will mark a significant moment once released.

In a message to young people from Obolo, Feroh Marley encouraged them to remain focused and hopeful. He described the current moment as a defining time for the region, urging young creatives to keep grinding, creating, and believing in their dreams. He expressed confidence that the long-awaited breakthrough for Obolo is closer than ever.

As the AFRO-OBOLO movement continues to gain momentum, Feroh Marley stands at the forefront, pushing a new narrative and opening doors for cultural expression on a global scale.
