Methodist Church of Nigeria Awards Hon. Dr. Gogo-Ogute Friday Isaiah for Peace and Community Development

The Methodist Church of Nigeria, Diocese of D/Line, Unyeada Zone, Andoni LGA, Rivers State, honored former Caretaker Chairman of Andoni LGA, Hon. Dr. Gogo-Ogute Friday Isaiah, with an Award of Excellence in Peace and Community Development.

The award was presented on Sunday, 12th April, 2026, during a special fundraising service in support of God’s work in the Unyeada Zone. He was recognized for his outstanding contributions to peace, unity, and community development.

In his response, Hon. Gogo-Ogute Isaiah expressed appreciation to the church for the honor. He stated that although he could have sent a representative, he chose to attend in person because of his deep connection to his community and his commitment to the work of God.

“I may have sent someone to represent me, but because this has to do with my community and the work of God, I had to be here myself. I don’t joke with anything that concerns my people. Being part of this development gives me joy,” he said.

He further commended the church for their efforts and supported their work.

The event was attended by several dignitaries from Unyeada Kingdom. The Chairman of the Occasion, Hon. Ibganam Silas Eneyo, was represented, and other dignitaries including Sir Cyrus Nkangwung, Dr. Famba Famba, and others were also duly represented.
