FAAC Shares ₦1.969 Trillion December 2025 Revenue to FG, States, LGs

  The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has shared a total sum of ₦1.969 trillion as Federation Account Revenue for December 2025 among the Federal Government, 36 state governments, and 774 local government councils across Nigeria. The allocation was made at the FAAC meeting held in Abuja in January 2026, according to a communiqué issued by the Office of the Accountant-General of the Federation. The distributable revenue comprised: ₦1.084 trillion from statutory revenue ₦846.507 billion from Value Added Tax (VAT) ₦38.110 billion from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) From the total shared amount: The Federal Government received ₦653.500 billion State Governments received ₦706.469 billion Local Government Councils received ₦513.272 billion Oil-producing states received ₦96.083 billion as 13 per cent derivation revenue FAAC disclosed that the gross revenue available in December 2025 stood at ₦2.585 trillion, out of which ₦104.697 billion was deducted as cost of ...
